IceJohn,

You always seem to know how to catch those big bluegills smile.gif I'm still going to try and make it down this winter to chase some of those bulls with you. Maybe we'll meet up at Cabelas again this fall...

Jeff,Matt,The ponds run8 to15 feet for the most part.Shallow ponds down that way stay muddy most of the time,do to wind rolling them over.If you can get time to come downthis way I could show you some big gills.Matt I hope we can get together and do some ice fishing .Are they having meeting this fall at Cabelas? Good to hear from you.

John,

I'll let you know if there are going to be meetings again this fall. I'm going to try really hard to make it down and fish those ponds with you. If I get some free time and things work out I'll let you know. Take care bud.

Good Fishin,

Matt Johnson

Iowa is a great resource when it comes to trophy gills and crappie, the ponds are great, I grew up on a private lake in Iowa that I still go back a few times a year in the spring and icefishing in the winter. Almost every gill is a trophy that are hard to come by in MN, I love sightfishing 10 gills in 6 feet of water during the winter. I cant't wait to get down there again this winter.
