I grew up fishing for trout in NE Iowa and will be back in a week to do some more. My favorites were Joy Springs and Bixby. Has anyone fished these lately and has the streams changed much in 8 years? I put a lot of time and effort on some private land between Joy Springs and Backbone as well as downstream from Bixby. I have caught several brown and brook trout on these streams and was just wondering how the public areas were upholding.
