Yellow Smoke

Has anyone been fishing Yellow Smoke by Denison?? Any gills during the day? Tired of these stumbling around after dark crappie bites!

Yellow Smoke's got some great 'gill fishing, and some dandies, too. It's usually a tough bite with the ultra-clear water, but you CAN get them to bite. Try the 15' flat (in front of the small cove) between the point and the dam on the west end of the lake. It's got some scattered timber laying on a pretty hard bottom that always holds some NICE 'gills. Good luck!

Thanks. Haven't fished it for 6-7 years but my lunker 'gill pond got sold last year....... Haven't found a replacement yet. I know the surveys the DNR did last year showed excellent size at Y.S. But I know they can be fickle. was wondering if anybody had fished it the last week or so.
