The peak of the salmon run is currently taking place at Kenosha, Wis -- both the marinas (harbor) plus the Pike River are seeing hundreds of big kings. Coho typically run two weeks to even a month later, so there will be stream and river activity for some time.

Best bets are spawn and small spinners.
