Went to Mille-lacs this past weekend and caught one 13ld carp. It's a nice lake but very big. I was overwhelmed by the size and was not sure ware to start.

I was wondering what videos you were talking about? I've seen the articals in the in-fisherman.

I have seen quite a few videos and shows in the last few years featuring people fishing for carp on mille lacs. Has anyone ever tried it before? I would love to although I have no idea where to start. If anyone could give me any info I would be very appreciative.

Thanks

It was in the video "freshwater giants of north america" I rented it from the northtwon library. Its an in-fisherman video, probably the most amazing fishing video I have ever seen. Al catches a monter white sturgeon on the columbia river, you have to see it to believe it.

I was fishing the big rock pile towards the southern end out in the lake and I tail hooked what I would estimate as a 20-pound or more brute. It was the most intense fight of my life on 6 pound test, I thought for sure that it was a huge musky, until I got it in the net that is. It took me around 20 minutes to get in and I thought my arms were gonna fall off. I barely had the strength to lift it. When I get back up at school I well try to send the pic in.

I was tossing a taildancer for waldos got one treble in the upper portion of the tail. Upon a closer look of the rock pile (it stems out of the water several feet and is huge) I saw a bunch of other brutes up shallow feeding on the bottom near the rocks. This was last july and if someone were to target them, I would think they could do pretty well.
