Bernie Keefe
I was out drilling holes the other day, I drilled in the prime location (for lake trout) and the fish were not there. I punched about 20 more holes towards the saddle and down the slope. The fish had moved down the slope. Then I sat and wondered what would other people do when the fish were not home. (sometimes they don't know where they are supposed to be). I drill lots of holes and search them out. What do you do to overcome this, drill more holes in an area or move to the next promising spot? Jordan Dahl
This is just me, but, I tend to move quite a bit using searching bates like psycho shads for lakers. I will fish one spot for about a half hour to 45 minutes, if no signs of fish, on to the next spot. Drill the entire area out though, and move frequently. Try fishing each side of the humps. I fish each and every depth before i move onto the next area of the lake. Again, this is just me. Hope this helps
BWSOutdoors
I am with Jordan on this as I am constantly on the move and looking for the aggressively biting fish. 100 holes in a days time is nothing in the way that I fish and by doing this, it allows you to keep up with the biting fish as opposed to the lookers and not biters.
