North Central Iowa Ice

The ice is holding strong. Clear Lake has 6 to 9 inches depending on location with most of it around 8. The Crappie bite has been good in the deeper water. Water over 20 ft has been best and pink plastics will out fish most bait.

I was out a few times this week and Clear Lake had a solid 7 inches of ice. The fishing was very good today. Crappie 20+ feet and yellows 10ft. I hope the ice holds because the bite is ON! We caught over 100 fish in a couple hours today.
