MikeyF
Hi, I am searching for a lake in the Illinois area that I can pull some nice perch out of, through the ice. I never caught nice perch through the ice and is a dream to see some nice perch on the ice! If anyone can help it would be much appreciated! If you prefer you can PM me with info. Be safe and tight lines. Thanks, Mikey

Coryy
Mikey, Any of the Chicago harbors can produce nice catches of perch. You can also find some nice perch in some of the lakes on the Fox Chain. I personally chase after the Crappie and Gills, but I do know that Bang's lake has some good perch in it as well. Thanks for replying Cory!!! Yea I'm just starting to try to target crappie. I've been doing it for 2 seasons, this will be the third. So far my best years ice fishing to. The only problem I have now is I get stuck in the same spot weekend after weekend instead of looking on new lakes for new spots lol. I use to go out and just fish for bluegill, hope to run into them in shallow weeds. Crappie seemed like the perfect fish to learn on. Do you have any recommendations on any real good crappie lakes that dont get heavily fished? Or just any good ones at all? You can PM me the lakes if you like. Do you do any guided services? I really want to learn more on targeting crappie and bigger gills! I know people say that you should mark your spots in the fall on your boat but I dont get out on a boat in fall.
