Mixing it up in Michigan

Did good last week before all the rain hit over the weekend. Good news is that the temps have gone back down where they belong, all the slush that melted should freeze up nicely and be back on the water Christmas day.

Wednesday got out for a bit in the afternoon to get everything broken in, picked up a mix of 15, some gills, pumpkinseeds and perch. Thursday got out and sorted through 80 some panfish to get my 25 man limit in 5.5 ft of water.

Then I moved a little deeper, roughly 7.9 ft, according to the handy dandy DD-100. Busted out some Maki plastic on tungsten and tried for some perch including this nice lil 11 incher.

Even caught a few bigger panfish for fun, put on the bucket for scale and dropped them back down the hole to catch this week.

Fished from 10 am till dark, had a blast catching over 100 fish. Helped an old Vet drill some holes because his old school electric lost its zip. Chatted it up with some iceheads nearby and called it a good day on the ice.
