Rust-Oleum NeverWet

Thinking about trying some Rust-Oleum NeverWet on the auger flights to see if it reduces icing. Interested to see if it works as advertised.

I was very excited to see your post. I actually called neverwet two years ago when I discovered their 'yet' to hit the market product. Bummer to read the reviews.

Might work OK on eyelets. Spring bobbers. Otter sleds, ice scooper.

Wouldn't hurt anything to try it on an auger.

Spray your auger with WD-40 every time you go out. It also prevents rust on the blade.

I heard it breaks down quickly with UV rays. Bummer. We where going to use it at work to help protect our outside equipment but it's a pretty short lived lifespan right now. Hopefully they refine it to a long lasting product.

I have had a lot of success applying the original Rain-X window treatment to my ice auger. It prevents freezing and doesn't seem to cause rust.
