I bought one last season and won't leave home with out it. The best feature has to the weight coming in around 10# makes it a snap to carry. On one battery I would drill 40+ holes in a foot of ice. I purchased the combo that comes with the M18 regular drill.

Where in IL do you live if close enough I will let you try it out.

I ran the K-Drill a lot last year as well and really enjoyed it. Like Lawrence said, it cleans the hole out nicely so you don't need to scoop it out. I also like how it opens old holes so easily with it's chipper system. I also used the Milwaukee M18 Fuel and it performed very well with the system.

This year I plan to put the K-Drill bit on a Clam Ice Auger Conversion Drill Plate and play around with that a while... also running the M18 drill...

Yes... we need ice smile

Matt, will the K-Drill bolt up to the Clam Plate? I just got the Clam Plate last week and really like the way it supports the drill.

I put a 6" Strike Master hand auger on it for now but the K-Drill looks like it would work even better. Also was wondering about the Clam auger blades, they look the same as the Strike Master but the price is a lot lower.
