Could someone give me some info on the northern fishin on oahe? If I went this weekend could I use the boat? Where can/do I go, beings how I've never fished at the river before? Thanks for any info.

If you are planning on coming this weekend, I would leave the boat at home. There are still some pretty good ice chunks floating around out there, and I don't think any of the docks are in yet. There are quite a few good spots accessible by vehicle. Corp Bay, Spring and Cow Creeks, Peoria Flats, and Chantier Creek are all pretty good areas and easily accessible by vehicle. Find the shallowest warmest water you can and go for it. I usually use frozen smelt or herring on a quick strike rig or a double dropper rig either on the bottom or floated off the bottom. I am going to go out tomorrow afternoon and I will post my report tomorrow night.
