That happen to me last winter{AT X-MASS} I was fishing on Bitter, had 3 eye's so thought I would try fiushing for perch on Waubay , was fishing awhile, and something told me , buddy you can't do this here with 3 eyes inyour pial on waubay. It didn't take me but a second to release one of those eye'sIf a CO would have cuaght me, I would have been in deep s---. so be careful, Sd has toooo many diff. rules in this state.
A little mistake I made , could have cost me.

Also be careful about releasing fish into different waters than where they came from, I'm sure there's a law against that also.

Even though all these regulations are confusing they will probably help to keep the lakes of SD from being overharvested too quickly and at least give us a few extra years of enjoyment before we kill them off. Who knows, with the water levels already dropping, the small lakes that we all enjoy could end up being duck sloughs again like they were 15 years ago.
