We fished from 9:00am-1:00pm Saturday and had no luck. Found very cloudy water in 12-13ft and the sidefinder showed fish all over, but none would bite. Moved four times and decided to throw in the towel.

I heard a fairly reliable report yesterday that the perch have been biting in the afternoon in 14' of water.
The walleye action is starting to pick up a little, but it will be a few weeks until a good consistant bite starts.

Sat was excellant, just had to be there at 7:00 am. till 10:00am , after that it was slow, Sun, Mon, and today darn slow.

Tried Poinsett yesterday (1-17) and during what should have been the prime time 3:00 - 7:00 pm and only had one bite. Picked up a few on the vexilar around 5:00 and that was it. I was 1.2 miles north of the State Park near the middle. Very clear water, I could see my lure in 12' of water. Also talked to 2 other groups and they were blanked as well. There is a tournament there next Friday as a part of the Governor's Games - hope it picks up...

The new area is near Grapes point and east to middle. So many fishing just keeps pushing the fish around the lake.
