VEXILAR 8 VS 18

Been using a fishin buddy last two years, just not cutting the mustard. Wondering which one to go with. Have checked out both of them. Liked the fl-8se genz pack. Mainly due to price, but willing to empty more of the pocket if it is worth the Fl-18.. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I have a fl-8 works great can't ice fish with out one. Got it one year before the Fl-18's came out.

My Dad got a Fl-18 Much better unit. You can zoom in on the bottom 6 feet. I have used his and it seems to be more sensetive when fish are right on th bottom.

Also you can cut the power in have for shallow water(under 7 feet deep). I had to buy a connector for my fl-8 to cut the power for shallow water(extra $20).

I would say it is worth the extra money.
