Know a guide for the River near Springfield?

I've got some interest in fishing for bass between Springfield and Running Water. Been there once before, but was basically lost driving through all those channels. I'd like to go back, but want a guide to take the guesswork out of the experience.

Any suggestions?

I dont know if I could be much help to you yet this year, maybe late fall... I grew up in Springfield, fished that whole area since I was big enough to hold a zebco. I was back there a few weeks ago, didnt fish but things still looked airly close to the same. I've caught so many bass back in those channels and pockets, its crazy! I'm in the process of moving back to the area, (on the nebraska side) and plan on spending alot of time fishing in my old haunts. Like I said, may not get everything settled to make it this summer yet, but stay in contact if your intrested and I'll show you where they are at!

Thanks for the reply. I checked all the standard places for guides...yellow pages, online, etc., but found none.

My dad and I were down there last summer and had a heck of a time finding fish....really had no clue what we were doing or where one should be fishing. Neither one of us has much experience fishing a true river, so we were basically lost!

If we make plans to return, I may seek some advice from you. Thanks, again.

The man to contact is Bruce Pitzer. He is out of Oakdale Nebraska. He has guided on the river for many years and knows the river in and out. My dad grew up in Oakdale with Bruce. Without a doubt, he would be worth your money (which I have no idea of rates).
