vermillion

has anyone been out to lake vermillion? also was wondering if it has opened up by the spillway

a friend went out there today to run his dog. He said their was a big open area from the dam spillway area quite a ways to the north. He also said their was a pretty good open area over by the baitshop on the sw side. His dog fell through the ice by the swimming area but it was close to shore. He also said their was two shack left out on the ice with open water close to one of them. I suppose nobody is brave enough to go out and retrieve them.
