lake poinsett - THE DEAD SEA

Recommended Posts

Fished from noon till 7:00pm. Didn't have a bite. Only saw two fish, as the water was clear in 15 feet. Saw a big northern and a perch. Those were the only fish marked on the vexilars.

People were moving there big shacks all over. Some were leaving. There was four of us fishing I moved a around a couple of times.

Talked to a guy on the lake, he said they caught one perch all day. But one Thurday they caught fish, but the water was cloudy he said. Also seen one fsh caught by a group fishing by us.

The State was doing a creel survey. They talked to 90 people. 12 perch, a couple walleyes. and 3 0r 4 northerns is all the fish they saw. Maybe the weather had something to do with it?

We fished thompson Sat. morning and Sat. night and caught over 40 walleye. Alot of little ones between 8-10". We tried a slough up by watertown for perch during the late morning mid afternoon and caught 4 perch 9"-14". The perch just seem to shut off once it started raining. The walleye just didn't seem affected by the rain because it just poured on lake thompson after dark and the walleyes were still very aggressive.
