jjdubsoutdoors
Today my brother Josh and I hit up Solberg Lake in northern Wisconsin. Little backstory -- I had taken Josh ice fishing probably 4-5 times this winter and we hadn't had much success together. I think it was a combination of the wrong timing, bad conditions, and just plain bad luck. There's a reason they call it fishing and not catching. Today was a different story and I was finally able to get Josh on a decent school of bluegills and crappies. If you can't tell, we were both pretty excited when Josh finally iced his first fish! We only fished for about an hour and a half and caught some pretty nice slabs. Didn't seem to matter too much what we used this day, but I caught all my fish on a small tungsten jig with a pink plastic. Hoping to get on the ice at least a couple more times this winter.
