Tailgater VS Carryout G2

So I bought the carryout g2 and borrowed someone's dish box for the weekend. They have the tailgater. Will I have to mess with the settings or can I just plug it in and follow on screen commands. I don't want to mess up the receiver for the guy I'm borrowing it from where it won't work for him either...

When you hook up an external satellite, it will make you go through the prompts everytime.. as far as I know. Worst case, is that he will have to click on the correct prompts again, not much of a hassel in my opinion. I wouldn't be afraid to use it. I have the tailgater and have to confirm the prompts everytime I hook it up.
