RangerZ
Hello,Hope everyone's ice season is going great! Long story short..I have a few friends from Kansas coming up to visit and they have never been ice fishing, walleye and perch. I am not looking for any hotspots just a few pointers. I fish leech quite often in the spring and fall but have never iced fished it. we will be bringing the wheel house and plan on spending the weekend in it. I fish minnetonka religiously, finding good spots on my chip and from my bass fishing it usually pays off. looking at the chip for leeche and it blows your mind the structure in walker bay. I am wondering if it is worth fishing some of the steep breaks and humps in walker? i usually fish around goose and pine in the spring and do well but the structure in walker looks way more appealing during the winter. any thoughts would be much appreciated. thanks and hope the rest of the ice season goes well! Boar
Cedar point has lots of humps that come up outa deep water. Plus a nice flat that drops.from 16ft real quick to very deep water. I fished tuat last year for eel pout and did well. Get a contour map or gps chip. Walleys love to come upnouta deep water in the evening and feed on the shelf. Or get on top of the humps in the evening. Lots to pick from on cedar point
