Poles/Line

On my main pole i have 4lb.Berkley Micro ice line and on another pole i have i think 2lb.Fireline crystal, and other pole i have i believe its ither 6 or 8 lb line. My main pole is the 4 lb. line that I use the most, we fish for mostly Walleye and Crappie, and Northern. Sometimes sunfish. With me fishing walleye and crappie the most and using Northland UV Buckshot spoons/ Northland forage Minnow spoons, if am using my main pole (4lb. line) is this right? i think it is because you dont want to big or too small of line. Anywhere from 2-3lb. for sunfish/perch and 4-6lb for walleye/crappie? I dont know... Whats your opionion on what line to use for Sunnies/perch and crappie/walleye?

1-2# for pannies, 4# for walleyes

Ol kolwaski's i use eithe 6 lb strenn or 2lb dia. 8 lb test power pro. No pannies for me.

B-man715 Then is 6-8lb line for pike? i have 14lb line on my tip ups, and 8lb. on my pike ice rod.

you can get away with 4lb for walleyes, i use 6 lb trilene of stren though

if you are targeting pike i would suggest at least 1O lb mono or a braid of at least 20 lb

For our walleye rods or you could say our spoon rods like the buckshot minnows as you said we use either 8 lb fire line or suffix 832 ice braid both work great. We always run a leader of 6 lb mono or floro with a two way swivel. But for the pannies we typically use 2 sometimes 3 lb Trilene micro ice.
