Talon winch remote help!

I have a talon 2500 winch on my utv and I recently let it drag on the ground on accident. I noticed this when my batterie shorted out the lights went dim.. I got a replacement remote from mile marker remotes.. It fits my old winch cord so I figured it would work. But it didn't so I figured it was the solonoid so I got a new one of those.. Still doesn't work.. Now I'm wondering if I blew up the winch it's self or if I just need to find a different remote.. But I can't find any of the remotes it's listed with.. Any help would be great thank
