Differences in auger speeds

I've only ever used a Jiffy propane (only been ice fishing for a few years). How does the cut speed compare with other Jiffy models and how do those models compare to Strikemaster chipper blade augers? Are we talking a big difference or is it not that noticeable?

Thanks for the reply. What do you think caused the problem that made the Strikemaster inferior in regard to not being able to cut as well as the Jiffy for the same amount of time?

I'm trying to decide on an auger and weight is the biggest factor for me so I was thinking Strikemaster Chipper Mag (25 lbs), but I also liked how the Jiffy cuts. So it seems like the only choice I would have if I want something comparable in weight to a Strikemaster is the Jiffy 4g Lite. Even then I'd be surrendering 4cc's and 3 Lbs. (according to the specs).

Anyone have experiences/reviews with the Jiffy 4G Lite they'd like to share?

The chipper blade makes it last longer for sure but con's are it throws slush, chips everywhere strike master cuts smooth doesn't throw stuff around but suck at redrilling that said most it matters if you have a wheel house

I would love to try out the Honda strike master

For weight and cost I used a solo strike master 8" and worked great
