Pete W
I'm right there with ya! I always take the last 3 weeks of December off in the chance we can drag the wheelhouse up north for the kids to clobber some fish. Looking good so far! popriveter
For me, ice season is about finding small, overlooked lakes, and underappreciated (underexploited) fish populations. Fishing where others are not. Packing light, making long walks, exploring new puddles that are tough to access or shorefish.Last year, some of my favorite lakes winterkilled. I was bummed, but I've had enough time to get a new attitude. I am looking forward to visiting a bunch of new lakes. I have gameplanned the new season. Now, I just need to endure the struggle to wait for safe-enough ice.Should be having fun soon!
