fshhntfootball
Hi all, quick question regarding the ICE 55 but I think it would apply to the 45 as well. I just replaced my FL12 with this ICE 55 and can't wait to get in on the ice, but I have one question regarding "testing" out of the water. All of my buttons work the way they should, but when I press either the gain button or the noise rejection button, it gives me that beeping noise, or sometimes it will show me the gain setting and then when I turn the adjustment knob it will only move the gain in 1 step increments. I just wanted to see NOW if this is normal since it isn't in the water, or if I should contact Humminbird. Thanks!
fshhntfootball
Update: I took it to a local river where I knew it would be about 5-6 feet deep, and when I hung the transducer off the dock it displayed 12 ft exactly like it did in my home. Also, I noticed that when I took the transducer cable out, the display didn't change one bit. Is there a possibility it is stuck in simulation mode or maybe a bad ducer? Will be giving bird a call tomorrow to clear up. I guess thats why we run through gear now!
