Picked up hondas huntig capstan winch its basickly their 4 stroke weed wacker motor connected to a very highly enginerred gearbox. Baby costed us $1300 ordered through northern tool. Rated to pull 1500lbs feed as long a rope you have the bigger one can pull 2 full sized parked trucks together its meant for logging and ppl use it to pull moose 2-300 yards away. Anyone possibly have one and have put it to use with deer? We hunt valleys and steep hills no atv allowed this was our only option or else another year of broken backs. Would like to hear how it performed if anyone have used one.
