andy j
I was wondering how much line I should have out while trolling for walleyes. Also how long should I make my snells for live bait riging. Thanks AJ
0 Guest
AJ, I always let out about 100 feet of line when trolling as a starting point. Alot of it depends on what you are trolling and the optimal depth for that lure. It also depends on how heavy a line you are using. The heavier the line, the shallower the lure will run. Snell length also depends on how active the fish are. Some days I will use a 3 foot snell with a spinner, I use this for windy days, when it's dead calm and the fish are not very active, I will go to a 8-10 foot snell with no spinner, just a red or green bead in front of my hook.
