# of times at bait????

This is only my second year of hunting bear. After no hits last year and long off season wondering what I could have done different here we are again. We I started baiting about 1 1/2 weeks ago, with no hits. Yesterday I checked my bait and found it hit!!!!! Big logs and rocks so I know it was a bear. I was excited. Checked this morning and nothing??? So all you old time bear hunters out there, what do you think??? do the bear tend to hit every night once they find the bait, or do they tend to go a day or two in between? I did not have a camera out, but do now. Hope to see him soon!!!

They certanlyndo not hit the bait every night once they find it.the good thing is he knows where its at. Hes off doing bear things right now.acorns are droping and corn is ripe for the consuming. A bear really stwrts to get regular when all.the naturals are gone.and milky crops are hard. Sometimes heatcan shut down their movements..hunting early morns cwn pay off. I see more regular visitsasthe.season progresses.

I saw a sow and cub Friday night but other then that haven't been hit since last Wednesday. 3 sites nothing out right now beatiful night!!

Baits are getting hit hard up here now, some baits were sleepers only being hit every couple days but they are going now. We don't have the crops to compete with here.
