Wind??

Recommended Posts

Nothing today on opener have had multiple everyday for over a, week, it was pretty windy do you guys think it effects bears as much as it does deer? I think deer rely more on ears then bears but seems like when windy I don't see nearly as many. Thoughts?

Thanks

Jay

I believe they dont lime to move when its windy, although they can see very well as good as us or better, they rely on their smell of cohrse and hearing more so than eyesite. But when its windy it totaly messes their smell and hearing so now they only have eyesite and they wont depend on that at a bait site.

I feel comfortable with the right wind direction when I get in my stand. After a few minutes I feel it hit me in the back of my neck and think ??%%$$((## darn. Then it changes again. And again. Swirling around. It seems as it gets close to dark the wind seems to usually settle. Things get quieter, I can smell my bait better meaning the wind is right and then there he is. Never seem to see me but look in my direction for a sec or two.
