I am some what new to catfishing and I am going out Saturday night with some friends to try to catch some flat heads in the Mankato river. I've tried lately with not much luck. any suggestions on where and what bait is best for flats?

When targeting flats live bait is best. Big lively suckers bullheads creek chub...

They will take cut bait but live is best cz there a top predator

Location can almost be anywhere cz they do travel good distances. But being an ambush predator they do like to be near structure such as wing dams dwn trees holes...

Water depth can vary a lot aswell. At nite I've caught them n less than 5fowgood luck and have a blast
