Journaling - How to guide for us?

I am so glad that I discovered this site last year. Let me draw upon your knowledge for this aspect. I hear people talk all the time about journaling and then reviewing it to learn things.

So the question is: How do you journal your fishing? What kind of journal or where do you do it? When? What kind of benefits have you had from having a journal?

I was thinking of ordering the Lakemaster maps that have journaling included with them according the HSOforum... Any feedback on that form of journaling?

Journals can be great. I carry mine in the boat with me and write things down as needed. I reveiw it when I get to the ramp. I record weather conditions, fish location etc. - anything having to do with the daily patterns. Something that I will try this year is a mini tape recorder.

That looks great. I have a 3 ring binder with plastic sheets to slide articles and knot tieing info into. This would work great to insert! Thanks.
