Portable GPS

I'm kicking myself for selling my old lowrance 522, i'm looking to get a portable GPS that works with the lakemaster cards for humminbird for the winter months. Does anybody have any recommendations?

if you have a smart phone, buy the $14 Navionics app. You'll get more and better maps than with your old LMs.

The problem with using the phone is they are typically not water/rain proof and they don't float if dropped into the lake. For my portable GPS I use a Garmin GPSMap78.

I keep a lowrance H20c with me as well as the 798 bird. I also happen to have the navionics on the iphone. I try to maintain redundancy wherever I can. All seem to allow me to never fish blind....so to speak, should something go sideways.
