Jeremy airjer W
how did you get air in your ABS module? Or, why do you think there is air in the module?
humancoldfront
I had bad rear brake caliper. I took it off one night. I thought had the brake line sealed off. got the caliper the next morning and then found out my seal job wasn't so good. Ive bleed the system many many many times. It works a time or two then I get the service brakes soon target and the pedal gets soft again
Jeremy airjer W
It's the brake light (red letters) coming on?Is the master cylinder low?Did the reservoir on the master cylinder go empty when the calipers where off?Did you bleed the front calipers? One possibility is the master cylinder was ruined when you bled the system after replacing the calipers and bleeding the system. If there was a lot of debris in the cylinder and you pushed the pedal to far when you bled the brakes than you ran those seals through all that debris. Another is that you have a leak in the rear somewhere. did you replace both calipers? did you check the banjo bolts for leaks? did you check the bleeder screws for leaks? The rebuilders of the calipers like to heli-coil the threads for the bleeder screws on the aluminum calipers. If this was done they are leaking. Also if you over tighten the banjo bolts for the brake hoses it will strip out the threads in the caliper and leak. You shouldn't have to bleed the ABS module unless it is replaced. I have had many of these come it with rusted out lines, blown calipers, blown hoses, and blown wheel cylinders and not a drop of fluid in them. repair the leak, bleed the system and they are ready to go. overdalimit
I blew the main brake line to the rear and could not get the darn thing to bleed either. cracked the lines at the abs mod and got a ton of air out and then we were able to get it to pump up. another time the owner did his own work and put the calipers on the wrong side so they were upside down. Swapped them and violla good pedal.
