Histiocytoma (benign tumor)

I have a 2 year old vizsla. about 1.5months ago I noticed something that looked like a very small blister on the side of her face. Just in the last 2.5 weeks it has gotten bigger so I took her into the vet just to make sure every thing was OK. Turns out it is a benign tumor that younger dogs sometimes get while their immune systems are still maturing. The vet said since it really isn't bothering her that it's not worth the anesthesia to remove it. Im wondering if anyone else has been through this and how long does it take for it to go away on it's own?

I have a Vizsla too. I'm not sure if this is the same thing but he contracted canine papilloma virus . His symptom was a wart like growth on his lower lip. Google research found that It usually resolves on it's own.

I remember reading somewhere that if it's expressed, it resolves faster. I was able to squeeze it to no effect. He broke it open retrieving a stick, and it went away within a week.
