Electric Anchor Winch?

Do they work well? I'm thinking of getting one for my dad to put on his pontoon boat as it has become very difficult for him to pull the anchor. We have a 25 lb. anchor on the boat now. As the summer wears on, the weeds and mud that usually come up with the anchor can make it a real bear. Do these winches have enough power to pull that thing up, or am I better off trying to come up with a better solution?

I just installed a Minnkota Deckhand 40 pontoon on my parents pontoon. They love it! It wasn't bad installing it but you don't have many options where to install it.
