Portable Fishhouse Pipes???

unclejake

Question

Looking for some help... does anyone know where I can purchase fishhouse pipes for framing up a portable? I have a tarp for 6x8 portable... I just need to build the floor and a framing system for it. Colapsable pipes would be great! Thanks for your help.

I just spoke with USL Outdoor Products (whe manufatcure Clam's, Fishtraps, etc.) and they do have replacement poles available for purchase. They may not have some for older models but substitutes from earlier models will work. If you have some idea of what you need, I'll bet they would help.

You might try metal conduit pipes, which you should be able to get at a hardware store, or a bigger place, such as Menard's, Fleet Farm or Home Depot. The trick will be to get sizes that match your needs, i.e. one pipe fitting into another, drilling holes, etc.
I've seen aluminum poles with the "push button" attachment features at Fleet Farm in Oakdale Mn...they are ment for making collapsable snowshovels, but might fit your needs. Fleet Farm also has the Otter style plastic connecting plugs that go in the end of the pipes (the 3/4 inch size fits 1/2 conduit piping just fine). Canvas Craft in Anoka Mn might be able to help you out, also, as they make their own frames.
