cold weather vs. blight

i have a small section in one of my gardens that has been affected by blight the past couple of years.

i dont plan on planting any tomatoes in that spot but had someone tell me that the harsh winter - we had frost more than 30 inches deep in the ground - would have killed the blight so dont worry about it

just wondering what some of the green thumbs on here think

Um, no. Frost depth here in MN frequently exceeds 30" so don't count on the blights going away. Cultural practices including sanitation and careful rotation are your best bets. smile
