Clam Speed Spoon for Trout and Kokanee

Went to Willow Creek Reservoir near Granby Colorado on Wednesday and the clam speed spoon worked great for both species. The kokanee were suspended over the channel and the speed spoon is a great way to attract the fish and then deadstick so they would strike the then-suspended waxworm. They wouldn't hit the jigged spoon alone. The pattern carried over for the trout in the coves. they wouldn't hit a drop jig with a waxworm or the moving spoon, but shaking the spoon a couple of times brought them in then deadsticking was the ticket.
