UGLY

hey ive been informed that the uglier the bait or lure the better is this true if not what are some good lures also is it possible to buy frogs or do i have to catch them myself

If your talking about bass fishing,
i have excellent luck just using
spinner baits or buzz baits,
I was out today and rreally nailed em
using a red eye special in white, spinner bait, cheap at walmart

I couldn't really tell you that ugly baits are better. I do know that there are a lot of ugly baits on the market that do catch fish. Take the spinnerbait for example. That is an ugly bait, but spinnerbaits have probably accounted for more bass and other fish than from any other lure.
Sometimes bass just are not picky, but I usually try to imitate what it is they are feeding on. Sometimes that calls for fishing an "ugly" bait, sometimes it doesn't.

Some bait stores do carry frogs, but you usually have to catch them yourself. Be sure to read the regulations as there are a couple laws pertaining to the taking of frogs.
