Annual trip to Chequamegon Bay

Recommended Posts

Friday I made my annual trip to Ashland for some Lake Superior trout fishing. Went out early Saturday morning and headed up to Red Cliff for a semi-guided trip. 11 Gals from [YouNeedAuthorization], some of the gals had some luck on Friday with Browns and Lake Trout, Saturday the weather was fantastic but the fish were just not in the biting mood. I would see them racing up to my lure, then stop, then they were gone. Threw everything in my tackle box at them, caught one and got it up to the hole and then lost it. We tried a different area out of Bayfield on Sunday and several of the girls had very good luck with browns, lake trout, and whitefish. Again the Lake Superior Gods were not shining on me, one bite all day, marked lots of fish and couldn't get them to hit. Fished depths from 14-69 feet. I was fishing between two shacks and both of them caught fish and I didn't. Gotta figure out what I am doing wrong, seems that lake beats me up every year. Next outing Mille Lacs next weekend.
