Crappie Jigs or jiggin spoons

Both....use the Northland and Lindy (1/12 ounce I believe) jigging spoons all the time for crappies and bluegills. Just make sure the hooks are covered up well when fishing bluegills. When the fish aren't overly aggressive I will use smaller single hook jigs but I always start with a spoon. Note - also have a foreceps handy because removing trebles from bluegills can be a challenge bare handed.
