Thought I would share this really easy way to lock out your drill motor during transportation.

Simply insert cotter pin in the forward position so drill motor will not accidently turn on and remove it and insert it in the storage hole during use.

Total coast was 42 cents

Don't all drills switches have a center neutral position so they don't accidentally turn on?

most drill switches do, but its easy to accidentally bump it when digging through your sled.

It is recommended that you pull the battery off the drill when you are using it so you can keep it warm. I never transport the drill/auger with the battery on it. I put the battery on only when I am ready to drill a hole and take it off right away after I am done.
