Fresh Batteries???

For the love of god, why can I not find fresh 12volt 9AH SLA Batteries in town???

Just curious have any of you found a good reliable place to buy fresh SLA batteries around?

Alot of the ones I am seeing around have manufacturing dates from the summer of 2012! Cant see paying full retail for a battery that has been sitting that long without a charge. Lead Acid batteries need to be maintained even in storage.

Any ideas would be nice.

Find a vendor selling large #s for UPC computer backups.

I've found decent deals for those batteries and others I use for outdoors stuff, rechargeables, at Batteries Plus (maybe called Batteries and Bulbs now?).

fleet and farm - never checked dates tho

All of them I checked at batteries plus are 12 months old.

And the ones I checked at Fleet Farm are from 2012 except a couple from the first week of January 2013.

Probably going to order online from a company that does batteries for APC and Eaton UPS's

Been a while since I got a battery I guess! Regardless I've had good luck with the quality at BattPlus even if I didn't realize I was buying year old batteries at the time (which I very well might have done).
