pushbutton
Probably not a worse electric on the market nowadays. They were "great" 3 years ago, but now pale in comparison to the recent competition...this is not a rip on strikemaster, they pioneered the electrics after all. For example have used the big volt and would recommend it if you are solely using it for a house, suppose even if you used a wheeler or snowmobile to move your equipment around. If you do not need the electra to reopen holes you should be ok. Everytime I would do it I would be holding my breath. The rotation is weak and could get stuck and the blades are not really designed for it considering the gearing. Always made sure I had a pipe wrench just in case. Don't know if they addressed the "getting hung up on breakthrough" issue on last years model or not, but for sure the year before when I think they changed their blade configuration/supplier??? ...... was irritating to say the least, with no real options for addressing it. To be fair this was right around the time of the takeover. Things could have changed for the better since then. Personally would see if you could get it for a buck fifty or so and see if you can get a chipper blade for it. You might need a different drill unit for that though.....tough decision...good luck!
