A thousand new muskies swimming in the Saint Croix!!!

John Newman of the Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies Inc has informed me that 1000 fingerling muskies were purchased by the Chapter and released in the St. Croix. This is in addition to 250 spring yearling muskies stocked into Lake Independence, and 450 spring yearlings stocked into Lake Waconia earlier. Total cost for this year's stocking efforts are over $20,000 with about 2/3 of the cost borne by the Chapter and 1/3 contributed by the H. C. Becker Foundation. Chapter used proceeds from the Chapter's Banquet Fundraiser and George Wahl Tournament for funding. Thanks to all of you who support these events, there are some new muskies swimming in Minnesota.

Awesome! It'd be fun to add a couple more waters to the metro area for the future. These lakes are getting a lot of pressure nowadays.
