The_King48
Does anybody have one...... I'm looking for reviews. How do they start in the cold?
DRH1175
I have the 2000 and love it! Very quiet, fuel efficient and always starts on one or two pulls. You can not go wrong with a Yamaha.
low277
+1 on the 2000 watt Yamaha, this will be my 3rd season, works great!

I have been reading reviews and some talk about a hour meter. Does anybody have one on there unit?
The_King48
Can I use my flasher while running the unit? IF I can remember right I thought I got interference while running a generator while using electronics.

slammer
What are the decibels on the 2000 yammies? I think Hondas are
low277
I added a Yamaha hour meter / tachometer to my 2000 watt Yamaha. I think I paid about 35 bucks for the meter and it was easy to install.
Melon
I also have the 2000 which will be on it's 3rd season. Love it, runs quiet, starts on second pull. I think it runs at the same decibel level as the Honda if I'm not mistaken. Never had any interference problems with other electronics. DRH1175
The decibles on the Yammy are the same as the honda. Actually in one test I read 2 decibles less. I have ran it side by side with a Honda 2000 and I thought mine was a fraction quieter, but both are very quiet. When mine is idling with a small load it can hardly be heard. I also have the Hour meter. all you do is wrap they wire around the spark plug wire very easy to install. I have 175 hours on mine so far and it hasn't missed a beat. What kinda stuff are you running in your ice house that you need a 3000. I would only buy the 3000 if you need that much power as the 2000 will use quite a bit less fuel and be easier to carry around.
AlligatorDundee
2 to 3 decibels is a lot
The_King48
I have portable AC unit that I use in the summer. I would like to do some more remote "camping". I would like ac and satellite tv for the kid when we are going to crash for the night.
