boXCar JiggY
So now that my castle is in montivideo get the furnace up grade I have time to research augers. Im looking at the new improved Propane from jiffy. I currently have a 3 horse withead from 1991. love it but my daughters buying for the house im building her. So the new castle deserves new auger. When they first came out my freind bought one, had the propane bottle in the bed of the truck an the auger would start until it seemed like the propane bottle has warmed a bit from lieing in the bed of the truck in 15 below temps. what new and improved on the auger, for 5 hunfred bucks is ther a better perm house auger to buy. Electric? Ion? Thanks.
hamms-scooter
They are pretty reliable powerheads. I wouldn't leave those small bottles of propane out in that kind of temp and expect it to be performing that great. Same with batteries for an Ion or ice gator. If you don't drill a ton of holes The ion would probably be a good way to go. Jiffy makes a good product but they are so heavy. If you wanted a jiffy electric that is an option also. newoodhntr
Jiffy just came out with a lighter propane auger. I think it's around 10lbs less than the first one they came out with.
