Last Couple Of Days

With Monday being a holiday, I hit the water with a few buddies. We planned on hunting till the action slowed then switch to fishing. We saw lots of birds flying, mostly before shooting hours though. Our spread must have looked good in the dark! We did a fair amount of shooting but around 10 we called it a morning. From there we ditched the guns and grabbed the rods. Fishing was decent. Crappie and bass were schooled up on deep water structure. After a few more hours, I started on my two hour drive home.

Today on my way to work, I noticed a pond covered with ice. When I made my way home at the end of the day it was still there! Although it will melt with the warmer temperatures and rain this weekend, it is nice to know that the temperature is low enough to hold ice!
