Windy and corn in the fields for opener.

Couldn't buy a deer this weekend. Saturday as we all know the wind was crazy (I'm hunting Northern Kandiyohi count NLS area)didnt see a deer and heard few shots. There could have been a ton of shots however I wouldnt have been able to hear them. Sunday we heard shots but again did not see a deer. I hunted Monday morning however with the wind and the cold I sat for 2 hours before the chill set into my bones. All and all spent close to 20 hours in the field and I did not see a deer. Last year with an anterless tag my brother and I would have been done by 9:00 a.m. opening morning. I of course have an anterless tag this year. I did setup 2 cameras in the woods and did walk through the woods and found 4 or so nice fresh scrapes along with 4-5 fresh rubs. I'll head back out Saturday morning for round two I suppose.
